Pink Floyd

Another amazing spectacle.

The four of us, me, Steve, his friends Paul and... ?, sat in the lower left bleachers, about halfway back. I was on the end looking over a concrete wall (around an entrance tunnel) toward the stage. It started raining at the moment the show started, and never let up. I sat there in my raincoat the whole time, hoping my program wasn't getting too wet.

Instead of a big round video screen on the back of the stage, there was an arch, from side to side, and one big screen under it. I grinned all the way through their opening song - "Astronomy Domine." The first set was all later songs, except the opener and closer, "Careful with that Axe, Eugene." The second set was more greatest hits - six songs from DSOM, plus "Shine On I-V", "Brick", "Numb", and the encore, "Hey You" and "Run Like Hell".

Interesting that the show didn't start until at 8:30. Must have wanted it to be dark.
