Cheap Trick
Jul. 2nd, 1985 09:00 pmCheap Trick. Bill and I went to Summerfest. Our first time there. The band was playing the old mainstage, which was on the north end of the grounds. There was a big arched roof over the stage, and the usual bleachers and benches. The sound wasn't very good. It was all distorted, so we left about halfway through.
The internet shows that they played Summerfest in 1985 (with REO Speedwagon), and the Marcus Amphitheater was completed for 1987, so it was before 1987). I don't know which day it was, so there's about a one in ten chance it was on the date listed above.
